Adobe tried to corrupt my flas I FOUGHT BACK

Posted by CatLovesSoup - 1 day ago

i wanted to make a blog post but idk abt what so, uhhh yea channel 726 animation has been frusterating me a bit concidering adobe keeps trying to screw my files up and kill them but i have persisted and i have now TWICE saved my corrupted files (to test to see if a files corrupted, save a backup then try and open the orginal, KEEP ONE OF THEM OPEN AT ALL TIMES, if it fails to open and says smthn along the lines of 'the file had trouble loading' or smthn liek that, then copy all layers, and paste them into a new FLA, and bam you just saved it, ALSO BE SURE TO CLEAR SPACE OFF YOUR PRIMARY DRIVE BEFORE SAVING THIS NEW FILE, AS THIS IS WHAT MY ISSUE IS CAUSED BY) but yea that was nervewracking but i WON!!!!

I would suggest downgrading your version of Animate, maybe to something more stabilized

i dont think thats my issue, its mainly a storage issue for me, plus im already a few years behind, im on animate 2023

@CatLovesSoup Whatever you say man, lol

also i dont think thats not how it works, how would downgrading to an older version make my problems go away?/gen

@CatLovesSoup From past experience, I've seen Animate become very unstable before, to the point where the UI would be blank, or a .fla file would refuse to be opened, it usually solved problems just going down a few build numbers, but at that point I was just over it lol

i have NEVER had those issues, you might have another issue than me

@CatLovesSoup Probably so

Then again, I haven't touched Animate in YEARS, so maybe the guys at Adobe got their shit together with that program lol

well either way i appreciate the advice!

@CatLovesSoup You're always welcome man!
